HPV (Human Papillomavirus) cinsel yolla bulaşan çok yaygın bir virüstür. 200’den fazla tipi vardır. Bazı tipler siğil yapar, yüksek riskli tipler ise rahim ağzı değişikliklerine ve kanser riskine yol açabilir. Çoğu kadın hayatının bir döneminde HPV ile karşılaşır, ancak güçlü bağışıklık sistemi virüsü kendiliğinden temizleyebilir. Jinekolog riski değerlendirip gerekli takibi yapar.
